The landing page all staff roles reach after a successful staff login (UC-IDP.07) or by clicking Home in the back-office portal sidebar. Presents KPI cards (Published Courses, Active Learners, Instructors, Pending Reviews), a Recent Activity feed with tagged events, a personalised Pending Tasks panel, and Quick Links to commonly accessed pages. The page header shows the active institution name, current date, and institution status badge. A dev/QA-only simulation toolbar lets testers switch the active role and institution without re-logging in.

Destinations per SCR-IDP.58 AR#3 (consolidated 2026-07-09; Instructors link repointed to UC-IDP.13 on 2026-07-14 when that UC was revived).

1. All statistics and the Recent Activity feed must be scoped to the active institution. Switching the active institution must reload all figures without a full page reload. [refs: SS-IDP.31]
2. Pending Tasks are personalised to the logged-in user — only tasks requiring action from this user (based on role) are listed. Urgent items use a red indicator; normal follow-ups use a yellow indicator. The count badge reflects total actionable items.
3. Quick Links are role-filtered: only links the user has permission to access are rendered. Inaccessible links are hidden entirely (not shown as disabled). [refs: SS-IDP.31]
4. The Prototype simulation toolbar must not appear in production. In dev/QA/UAT: changing simulate_roles updates the sidebar in real time; changing simulate_institute reloads statistics and activity feed for the selected institute.
