📝 Spec notes — UC-CCM.05 / SCR-CCM.08 (fields, actions, requirements)
Identity
  • Screen: SCR-CCM.08 — Submit Confirmation Dialog
  • Use case: UC-CCM.05 — Submit Course for Review
Brief description

Modal dialog opened immediately when the instructor clicks "Submit for Publication" on the Content Editor — no pre-flight check blocks the dialog from opening. Validation (SS-CCM.10) and the pending-request check run only after the instructor clicks "Confirm Submission". On success, the dialog transitions in place to a success state offering two navigation choices.

Additional requirements
  1. Supporting documents are optional — zero attachments is valid. Allowed file types and size limits are defined in SS-CCM.02. [refs: SS-CCM.02]
  2. The dialog opens immediately on click — no readiness check runs before the dialog is shown; validation (SS-CCM.10) and pending-request check run only after Confirm Submission. [refs: SS-CCM.10]
  3. version_label displays "v{major_version}.x" — minor_version is assigned when the version snapshot (CourseDraftTag) is created on confirm. [refs: SS-CCM.11]
  4. Cancel closes the dialog without creating any submission records — the course remains a draft.
  5. Confirm (when all checks pass) creates the version snapshot, the review request, and the workflow response in sequence; a failed notification does not cancel or undo a completed submission. [refs: SS-CCM.12]
  6. ESC and click-outside behave the same as Cancel in the confirm state; disabled in the success state — the instructor must choose one of the two navigation buttons.
📝 Generation notes (overlay)
This screen is type: dialog and its parent (Content Editor, SCR-CCM.02) lives in a different UC folder (author-course, out of scope for this regeneration). Per the dialog edge-case rule, it is rendered here as a standalone page rather than embedded as a modal in the parent — the dialog is also the entry screen of UC-CCM.05's own main flow, so its own UC folder is the natural home.
